Do you have any thoughts of a bug/dark type? I pictured something like an assassin bug just because of how its nymph hides itself using bug remains

Oh yes I have thought of this type combination a LOT and I’ve even posted ideas for it before but these are my current Top Ten ideas for the combo:

-A nasty little fly with huge eyes and huge Baikinman-like teeth, known for spreading sickness with its bite.

-Totally an assassin bug, yes, which could have a head like a scythe and a body like a reaper’s cloak.

-Whipscorpion pokemon with more literal lashing whip-like forelegs, maybe a purple eyemask and an antihero kind of persona.

-Pokemon based on an antlion larva, like Trapinch, but looks more like the real thing, without evolving into the actual adult stage. Antlion larvae are just too cool on their own and already common monsters in fantasy stuff! Dark type really suits the kind of insect that digs a pitfall trap like a big jerk, but maybe it’d be a trap of shadowy energy to be more pokemon-esque.

-Velvet ant playing up their furry cuteness, but has the most painful sting of any pokemon. Maybe that’d make more sense for bug/poison, but I like it as a dark type more. It could just have a poison related ability, or something, like Gliscor does.

-Death’s head moth pokemon. The real insect steals honey from beehives so I’d nominate a skeleton pirate theme for it.

-Robber fly pokemon, obviously with a stripey bandit-like motif. Ability lets it do extra damage to other bug types.

-Black widow spider, something I’m surprised we don’t have yet, but there always has to be a good twist to a pokemon and my idea for this would have levitate, using webbing between its legs to actually fly, and overall it’d have the shape of a bat more than a spider.

-Red, bloodsucking mite with an impish motif; mostly a round, horned head with nasty teeth and multiple clawed limbs. Would be the tiniest of all fully evolved pokemon.

-A parasitoid wasp with a sort of “evil queen” motif, evolves from any bug-type pokemon when it’s holding a “parasite egg” item at level 66, or something. It came out looking more like an Ultrabeast but I did a sketch of this one:
