It’s hard to tell what michael is because he’s very small. Agamemnon however is a wheel bug, Arilus cristatus, a species of assassin bug.

Agamemnon’s front legs are stronger than they look, used to grab passing prey a lot like a preying mantis would. His beak then injects a paralyzing concoction and digestive enzymes to incapacitate prey up to twice his own size and liquefy their organs.

Agamemnon is not however very fast; he can fly, clumsily, but on the ground he moves at a turtle’s pace and usually waits for prey such as bees or roaches to bump into him.

Michael is a very small target, in fact so small that Agamemnon might barely recognize him as either food or a threat, and all Michael needs is one moment of doubt to slip under Agamemnon and shank him with his jackknife
